
Central Arizona Women's Cross Country team took home the Region I Women's championship, recording a score off 22 points thanks to both Alesyia Barlow and Jessica Viera finishing with the top two times.
Pima came in second at the event with Karlee Pope finishing with a time of 19:57.7, the third-best time in the 5k. Southern Nevada recorded a score of 81 and came in third with Julia Gamboa with a time of 21:49.3.
The Vaqueros Men's Cross Country scored a 17 in the Men's Region I 8k led by a trio of runners with Sam Gilson finishing in first with a 25:51.6 ahead of teammates Sandile Pule and Jayden Smith. Southern Nevada came in second place with its top runner being Dominic Tsao who ran a time of 27:23.0. Pima was paced by Noah Brunet who ran the Aztecs' top time of 27:56.1.
Mesa took home the title in DII Women's Cross Country thanks to having five runners finish in the top 10, led by Regina Raimo who ran the second-best time of 19:04.6. Keira Damron of Paradise Valley ran the top time overall, running an 18.59.6. The Pumas finished in second with a score of 29 head of Coconino who scored a 72 and Phoenix with 102.
Paradise Valley men won the Region I DII Men's Cross Country championship as Jackson Bland, who ran the top time of 26:30.3, and Jaxon Zimmerman finished in the top two spots to help the Pumas score a 22. Mesa came in second with a score of 33 with Nick Valle coming in thrid place with a time of 26:52.6 and Quenton Metz running a 26:58.6.
