Paradise Valley College Cross Country freshman Nathan Pestka brought home the 2023 NJCAA DII Men's 8000-meter National Championship last weekend.

Pestka finished the race with a top time of 24:49.1 and was just one of two freshmen to earn individual national titles at this year's 2023 NJCAA Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships.

The Phoenix, Ariz., native also led the Pumas to a fourth-place team finish.
