The Central Arizona men's and women's cross country teams competed at the UC-Riverside Invitational Saturday.
The women placed 12th among 14 mostly NCAA Division I competition in the Open 5K race, while the men were 18th of 24 also versus mostly four-year opposition in the 8K Invitational.
The women were paced by Aziz Duarte who was 28th among 185 runners, covering the 5K in 18:54.5.
On the men's side, Christian Franklin was 88th in the 194 runner field in the 8K men's invitational with a 25:44.0 clocking.
The next ACCAC competition will be the conference championship Oct. 1 at Freestone Park in Gilbert, AZ.
