Scottsdale Captures Region I D2 Crown, Set to Host National Championships — Scottsdale defeated Chandler-Gilbert in three games to earn the NJCAA Region I Division 2 Championship. Arizona Western Captures NJCAA Region I Division 1 Title — Arizona Western defeated Eastern Arizona in four games to capture the 2005 NJCAA Region I Division 2 Championship. AWC won by scores of 30-28, 19-30, 30-38, and 30-23.
Dewitt Wins ACCAC Its Third NJCAA Weekly Honor — Scottsdale's Kami Dewitt is the NJCAA Player of the Week for the week ending October 30th. This is the third time in 2005 that an ACCAC volleyball member has garnered the top weekly NJCAA award. More from the NJCAA
Glendale's Stuck, Begay & Eastern's Kay Share Top Honors — Glendale's Johanna Begay has been named the 2005 ACCAC Volleyball Player of the Year while her coach, Lisa Stuck, and Eastern Arizona coach Shari Kay earned ACCAC Co-Coach of the Year honors. More Dewitt Leads Scottsdale To Share of ACCAC Crown — Kami Dewitt led Scottsdale to a victory over Glendale to earn the team a share of the ACCAC regular season championships and her the final ACCAC Player of the Week award for 2005. More Glendale's Begay Named ACCAC POW— Johanna Begay helped to lead Glendale to a 3-0 week in three ACCAC matches to earn the ACCAC Player of the Week honor. More Yavapai's Dresback ACCAC's Weekly Best — Kelsey Dresback led Yavapai to a 2-1 week with strong offensive and defensive performances to earn the ACCAC's Player of the Week honor. More Goodman Selected ACCAC Player of the Week — Scottsdale's Lindsey Goodman made it two Artichokes in a row to be selected the ACCAC Player of the Week. More DeWitt Leads Scottsdale to Earn ACCAC POW — Scottsdale's Kami DeWitt earned ACCAC Player of the Week for the week ending October 2nd after she led the Artichokes to a pair of wins, including a defeat of #4 ranked Glendale. More Eastern's Smith Block for ACCAC Player of the Week Award — Eastern Arizona middle blocker Jasmine Smith led her team to a pair of ACCAC victories with 20 kills and 25 blocks on the week. More Chandler-Gilbert's Brinkerhoff Named ACCAC Player of the Week — After leading the Lady Coyotes to a 7-1 record this past week, Lindsey Brinkerhoff has been selected the ACCAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending September 18th. More Glendale's Charvat Tabbed ACCAC Player of the Week — Vicki Charvat has earned the first ACCAC Volleyball Player of the Week honor of the 2005 season after leading the Gauchos to a pair of ACCAC victories.
