Scottsdale Takes Second at National Championships — Scottsdale placed second in the NJCAA Division II National Championship after falling 3-1 (28-30, 30-19, 30-15, 30-28) to Kirkwood College (IA) in the title match. Scottsdale's Sharisa Shiflet and Bonnie Joralman were named to the All-Tournament Team. (NJCAA DII Tournament Site)

Scottsdale Vies for National Championship — Scottsdale moved into the NJCAA Division II National Championship match with a 3-1 (30-21, 23-30, 30-25, 30-21) victory over Bethany Lutheran College (MN), the top seed in the tourney. The Artichokes will face Kirkwood College (IA) in the title match on Saturday, November 15, at 12:00 p.m.. (NJCAA DII Tournament Site)

Francestatto, Mannix Earn Top Volleyball Honors — Arizona Western's Ludmilla Francestatto has been tabbed the ACCAC Player of the Year, while Scottsdale Coach Regina Mannix is the ACCAC Coach of the Year. (All ACCAC & NJCAA Region I Honorees)

Scottsdale Volleyball Takes Title — Scottsdale, the tournament's top seed, completed its title run with a victory over Chandler-Gilbert in the finals of the ACCAC-Region I Championships. The Artichokes will represent Region I at the NJCAA Division II National Volleyball Championships beginning November 13 in Toledo, Ohio. (view scores/schedule)

Scottsdale, Chandler-Gilbert to Meet for Volleyball Title — Top seed Scottsdale moved from the winners bracket into the championship match with a 3-2 victory over #2 Phoenix. #4 seed Chandler-Gilbert earned its way to the title match with a victory over Glendale and then an upset of Phoenix. Chandler-Gilbert, which battled Scottsdale for five games in the opening round, will have to defeat the Artichokes twice to take the title in the double-elimination format. (view scores/schedule)

Top Seeds Advance in Winners Bracket of Region I Tourney — Top seed Scottsdale and #2 seed Phoenix earned opening round victories at the 2003 NJCAA Region I Division 2 Volleyball Championships to set up a semifinal battle on day two. Phoenix cruised past Glendale 3-1, while Scottsdale scored a come-from-behind 3-2 victory to survive against Chandler-Gilbert. (view scores/schedule)
