Alyzzah Vakasiuola ran away from the field in the Cougar Invitational, scoring -1 thanks to a big second round that saw her finish with a -4 on the second day. South Mountain’s Angelina Borg-Malec ended the invitational with a +9, good enough for second while Kaylin Johnson from Chandler-Gilbert was a shot behind at +10.
Mesa placed three golfers in the top-10 with Addison King placing seventh at +19 and Raquel Pargas came in ninth at +31.
Mesa as a team finished at a +94 thanks to a strong second-round score of +35 and Chandler-Gilbert finished in second at +102.
