Three ACCAC DI Women's Basketball teams sit in top-20 of NJCAA DI Women's Basketball rankings

The ACCAC features three DI Women's Basketball teams in the NJCAA DI Women's Basketball rankings once again the week, with Arizona Western, Cochise, and Eastern Arizona all in the top 20 in the latest poll.

Region I is one of just three regions to feature three or more teams in the rankings, and out of the three is the smallest Region in terms of the number of teams to have three or more teams in the rankings.

Arizona Western is the No. 13 ranked team in the country and features a record of 18-3 and has won back-to-back games following a win over Southern Nevada. The Matadors have been led by Naomy Zonzon-Huyghe who is averaging a team-best 16.1 points per game.

Cochise sits one spot behind the Matadors at No. 14, currently on a 12-game winning streak after beating Central Arizona on Wednesday. The Apaches were one of two teams to make the NJCAA DI Women's Basketball Championship last season and are led by Micayla Silas who is averaging 14.9 points per game.

Eastern Arizona came in at No. 18 this past Monday and has won three consecutive games and is led by Ashlynn Chlarson who is averaging 10.9 points per game. Just like the Apaches, Eastern Arizona was also a national qualifier last season, falling to Hutchinson in the national semifinals.
