Central Arizona Brings National Championship to Arizona — Central Arizona defeated the College of Southern Idaho 83-50 to capture the 2005 NJCAA Division Women's Basketball National Championship. Brisa Silva led Central with 23 points. Central Arizona Advances to Semifinals of NJCAA Division I National Championships — Central Arizona scored an impressive 85-45 victory over Western Nebraska CC to advance to the semifinals of the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament. Central Arizona's Shaq Mosley Selected National Player of the Year —Central Arizona sophomore Shaq Mosley, who will continue her collegiate career at the University of Kansas, has been named the The State Farm/WBCA JC/CC National Player of the Year. | More |

Lin Laursen Selected WBCA National JUCO Coach of the Year —Central Arizona Head Coach Lin Laursen has been named the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) 2005 National Junior College Coach of the Year. Coach Laursen has coached over 1,000 career games with an overall record of 866-140, including 562-33 against the ACCAC. She has led the Vaqueros to 207 consecutive ACCAC victories and 21 straight Conference Championships. Central Arizona is 31-1 this season and currently preparing for the NJCAA Division I National Championships. | More |

Four ACCAC Players Honored as Kodak/WBCA All-Americans — Shaq Mosley of Central Arizona earned First Team honors, while Charity Renfro and Katie Schrader of Yavapai and Farah Vasquez of Arizona Western were selected to the Honorable Mention squad. | More |

South Mountain Upsets Phoenix to Advance to Region Title Game — #3 seeded South Mountain defeated #2 seed Phoenix College 66-52 to advance to the championship game of the NJCAA Region I Division 2 Tournament. NJCAA Region I Women's Basketball Tournament Schedules Set — In Division I, top seed Central Arizona will await the winner of the Cochise-Yavapai semifinal, while in Division 2 top seed Mesa and #2 seed Phoenix will host opening round games. More

ACCAC Women's Basketball Post-Season Honors Announced — The 2005 ACCAC regular season has ended with three players sharing the honor as ACCCAC Players of the Year. Sharing the top honor are Central Arizona's Shaq Mosley and Brisa Silva and Arizona Western's Farah Vasquez. Cameron Leads Cochise, Earns ACCAC Honor — Revital Carmon earned the ACCAC Player of the Week award after leading the Lady Apaches to a pair of Conference victories. More

Mesa's Steinke Earns NJCAA National Honor — For the third time this year, the ACCAC has an NJCAA National Player of the Week in women's basketball. This time it is Mesa's Brandi Steinke as she garnered the Division II honor for the week ending February 22. More

Steinke Garners Second ACCAC Weekly Honor — Mesa's Brandi Steinke led the Thunderbirds to a pair of ACCAC victories, averaging 24.5 points and 13.5 rebounds, to earn her second Conference Player of the Week honor of the 2004-2005 season. More

NJCAA National Player of the Week Award Goes to CAC's Silva —Central Arizona's Brisa Silva was selected the NJCAA's Division II National Player of the Week for the week ending February 15. More

Laursen to Coach 1,000th Game — Central Arizona Head Women's Basketball Coach Lin Laursen will coach her 1,000th career game when the Lady Vaqueras take to the court on Wednesday, February 16th, against Glendale. More

Silva Garners ACCAC Honor — Central Arizona's Brisa Silva captured the ACCAC Player of the Week award after helping the Vaqueras to a pair of ACCAC wins. Silva connected on a school record 10 3-point field goals and netted 40 points against Mesa. More

Chandler-Gilberts's Gordon Tabbed ACCAC Player of the Week — The ACCAC's Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Febryary 6 is Chandler-Gilbert's Nikita Gordon. She helped the Lady Coyotes to a split of a pair of games, including 27 points and 22 rebounds in a victory over Scottsdale. More

Collier Leads Scottsdale, Selected ACCAC's Top Performer — Nedra Collier grabbed a school single game record 26 rebounds and led the Artichokes to a pair of ACCAC victories to earn the Conference's Player of the Week honor. More

Cochise's Chacon Earns ACCAC Weekly Honor — Bridget Chacon led Cochise to a pair of ACCAC victories and was tabbed the Conference's Players of the Week. More

Mesa's LeSuer Selected NJCAA DII Player of the Week — Ashton LeSuer earned the NJCAA's Division II National Player of the Week award for the week ending January 16th after leading 12th ranked Mesa to a pair of wins during the week. More

Laurent Leads Gilamonsters to ACCAC Wins — Lauren Laurent averaged 19 points and 10.5 rebounds in a pair of ACCAC victories for Eastern Arizona to earn the Conference's Players of the Week honor. More

Steinke, Schrader Split ACCAC Honor— Mesa's Brandi Steinke and Yavapai's Katie Schrader each led their teams to undefeated weeks by averaging a double-double to be named the ACCAC's Co-Players of the Week. More

Vasquez Post Pair of Double-Doubles to Earn POW Honor — Farah Vasquez led Arizona Western to a pair of victories with great performances to earn the ACCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor for the week ending December 12. More

Central Arizona's Green Leads Lady Vaqueros to Top of ACCAC —Danielle Green has been selected the first ACCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week of the 2004-2005 season as she has led Central Arizona to a 7-1 record overall and 2-0 mark in the ACCAC. More

Three ACCAC Women's Hoops Programs Garner Preseason NJCAA Rankings — Central Arizona and Arizona Western will open the 2004-05 campaign ranked in the NJCAA Division I top-15, while Scottsdale is ranked sixth in the Division II preseason poll released October 19th. More

ACCAC Sets Hoops Jamboree — Mesa Community College will host the 2004 ACCAC Women's Basketball Jamboree on Saturday, October 16th. The tip-off of the first contest is set for 9:00 a.m..
