The Mesa men and the Central Arizona women captured the Region I Track and Field championships Thursday at MCC's John D. Riggs Stadium.
The T-Bird men won with a total of 258 points, topping CAC which scored 218, Pima was third at 178.
In the women's division, the Vaqueras scored 275 to edge Pima which had 248. Mesa was third with 210.
Next up for ACCAC runners is the NJCAA Division I National Championship which will be held in Hutchinson, Kan., May 19-21.
