It was easily the top meet of the year for ACCAC track and field athletes in terms of NJCAA national championship qualification purposes at the Glendale Invitational Saturday. The meet was actually held at Paradise Valley when Glendale was forced to bow out due to an insufficient number of officials being available to work.
A total of 20 national qualifying standards were beaten, 13 by men and seven by women. Some of these marks have already been beaten by the athletes in question and some represent improvements over previous performances.
For simplicity, all of the qualifying marks are listed below by school.
Next week two events will be held, both at Paradise Valley. The Puma Distance in the Dark will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday and the Cody McBride Invitational Saturday.
