DI Pitcher

Jolissa Valdez – Eastern Arizona  – Valdez led the Gila Monsters in the circle last week, winning a pair of outings against Scottsdale and Phoenix. Valdez allowed three earned runs while striking out seven batters in a 12-3 win over the Fighting Artichokes before allowing just one earned run and striking out six in a 10-2 win over Phoenix.

DI Player

Gianna Villegas – Eastern Arizona  –Villegas went 6-for-12 in four Gila Monsters’ wins last week, doubling once while smacking three triples and driving in seven runs. The freshman scored four runs and walked twice while stealing a base in sweeps of both Scottsdale and Phoenix.

DII Pitcher

Ahjaida Solomon – Chandler-Gilbert – Solomon made three appearances and picked up a pair of wins for the Coyotes, throwing 13 innings and striking out eight batters while allowing just four earned runs. Solomon tossed a complete game in a win over Arizona Western.

Kylie Hegland – Chandler-Gilbert – Hegland went 12-for-15 with eight RBIs in four games for the Coyotes last week. Hegland had a 5-for-5 game and hit for the cycle in a 10-8 loss to Arizona Western while driving in four runs.
