ACCAC Softball Players of the Week - Week 1

DI Position Player

Kaity McLaughlin  

Kaity McLaughlin – Arizona Western  –McLaughlin went 4-for-9 with a double and an RBI in three games at the Great Western Shootout. The freshman outfielder had two hits, including a double, in the Lady Matadors’ 7-5 win over Southern Nevada and also picked up a hit in a 6-4 win over No. 12 ranked Salt Lake.


DI Pitcher

Jessie Garcia

Jessie Garcia – Arizona Western – Garcia struck out nine batters in 14 innings and led the Lady Matadors to a pair of wins at the Great Western Shootout. Garcia started the weekend by strikeout eight batters and allowed just four earned runs in a 7-5 win over Southern Nevada before holding the No. 12 ranked Salt Lake to one earned run in the Lady Matadors’ 6-4 win over the Bruins.

 

DII Position Player

Sydnee Levandowski

Sydnee Levandowski – Scottsdale – Levandowski went 5-for-8 with a double, and a triple while driving in three runs in two games at the Great Western Shootout. Levandowski opened the weekend with two hits in a 7-6 loss to El Paso before going 3-for-4 with three runs batted in, in a 16-11 win over El Paso.

 

DII Pitcher

Adriana Armstrong

Adrianna Armstrong - Scottsdale – Armstrong picked up two wins in the circle last week, striking out nine batters in 13.1 innings. Armstrong did not allow an earned run in seven innings against El Paso on Thursday before tossing 3.1 scoreless innings in relief against El Paso on Friday, earning the win.
