PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Pima's Dana Alcocer is the ACCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 16th. Alcocer helped the Aztecs to a 4-0 week, by winning a pair of games. She gave up five hits in a 10-0 win over Scottsdale and followed that with a one-hit shutout of Mesa. On the week, Alcocer gave up just six hits and no runs while striking out five.

BATTER OF THE WEEK

Amanda Duran of Pima is the ACCAC Hitter of the Week for the week ending April 16th. The Pima catcher helped lead the Aztecs' attack to a 4-0 record on the week. Duran went 9-for-14 on the week and homered in three of the four games. Duran's big blow was a two-run homer in the 7th inning to beat Mesa 3-2.

CO-PITCHERS OF THE WEEK

Phoenix College's Roxanne Bejarano is the ACCAC Co-Pitcher of the Week. Bejarano hurled a pair of complete game victories. Against Scottsdale, Bejerano gave up no runs on two hits and struck out seven. She then allowed four 
hits and only one earned run and struck out five in a victory over Pima. 

Pima's Dana Alcocer is the ACCAC Co-Pitcher of the Week. Alcocer racked up two complete game shutout victories, her fourth consecutive shutout wins. Alcocer gave up three hits and struckout three in an 8-0 win over Arizona Western. She then gave up just two hits and struckout four in an 8-0 win over Phoenix, the #1 ranked Division II team in the nation.

BATTER OF THE WEEK

Pima's Kelly Nielson is the ACCAC Hitter of the Week. Nielson went 6-for-11 on the week as the Lady Aztecs posted a 3-1 record. Nielson had four home runs, eight RBI and scored four runs.
