Pima Captures Region Championship in Final Day Thriller — #3 seed Pima lost to #1 seed Central Arizona on day one to fall into the consolation bracket. Central Arizona Garners Region Player, Coach of the Year —Central Arizona's Jessica Defreitas is the NJCAA Region I Player of the Year while Central Head Coach Craig Nicholson has been selected the NJCAA Region I Coach of the Year. Central Arizona lended four players onm the All-Region I Division I Team while POhoenix College placed five players on the All-Region I Division II Team.
