Glendale's Daniel Tervort is the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week. Tervort had 10 catches for 129 yards and Glendale's only touchdown in the Gauchos 11-7 non-conference win over Mesa.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
(September 14, 2008)

Scottsdale's Sam Liebman is the WSFL Defensive Player of the Week. Liebman helped lead the Artichoke defense with eight tackles, five for losses, and three sacks of Pima's quarterback in a 48-8 non-conference win over the Aztecs in Tucson.

CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Mesa's Alex Jentzen and Scottsdale's Jamorris Warren are the WSFL Special Teams Co-Players of the Week.

Jentzen scored Mesa's only touchdown as he returned a kickoff 90 yards. Warren had four punt returns for a 27-yard average and a touchdown in Scottsdale's win at Pima.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jimmy Bevell led Mesa to a big victory to earn the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week honor. Bevell threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns as the Thunderbirds defeated Pima 54-0 in the WSFL opener for both schools.

Jordan Brown of Snow was literaly all over the field for the Badgers to earn the WSFL's Defensive Player of the Week award. Brown helped Snow to a 31-25 WSFL win over Arizona Western with 13 solo and six assisted tackles. He also broke up two passes.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
(September 21, 2008)

Snow's Regan Buck is the WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week. Buck gave 
the Badgers good field position all night by averaging over 27 yards per punt return as the #4 ranked Badgers defeated Arizona Western 31-25.

Quinn Mecham of Snow is the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week. Mecham threw for 169 yards and four touchdowns to help lead the Snow Badgers to a 45-13 win over previously unbeaten Glendale.

Arizona Western's Joel Walton is the WSFL Defensive player of the Week. Walton led the Matadors defensive charge with four solo tackles, three quarterback sacks and a recovered fumble. He helped Arizona Western double-up on Scottsdale 28-14.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
(September 28, 2008)

Joe Phillips of Snow has been selected the WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week. Phillips hit five extra points and nailed a 43-yard field goal to help Sonw to a 45-13 victory over Glendale. He has not missed an extra point or a field goal on the season.

Glendale's Mike Williams is the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week. Williams ran for 154 yards and scored a touchdown in Glendale's 30-14 win over Arizona Western. He averaged 5.7 yards a carry for the game and caught a pair of passes for 25 yards.

Snow's Chad Wilson is the WSFL Defensive Player of the Week. Wilson helped the Badger defense shut down the Scottsdale offense in a 35-7 win on the road. Wilson recovered an Artichoke fumble and had three sacks on the evening.

Snow's Regan Buck is the WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week. Buck averaged 30.7 yards on three kickoff returns and took a punt back for a 72 yard touchdown.

Quinn Mechamof Snow is the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week. Mecham threw for 434 yards and seven touchdown passes to lead the Badgers to a 58-12 victory over New Mexico Military Institute.

Arizona Western's Joel Walton is the WSFL Defensive Player of the Week. Walton had six solo tackles, assisted on three more, had four sacks and caused a fumble. His defensive efforts helped the Matadors slip past Mesa 35-28.

Snow's Joe Phillips is the WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week. Phillips was 7-for-8 on extra point attempts in Snow's 58-12 win over New Mexico Military Institute.

NMMI'S Vincent Santana is the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week. Santana ran for 177 yards on just eight carries and scored two of the Broncos touchdowns in a 45-26 win over Scottsdale.

Snow's Jordan Brown is the WSFL Defensive Player of the Week. Brown had two interceptions, returning them both for touchdowns. He also recorded two solo tackles, two assisted tackles, and broke up a pass.

NMMI'S Michael McNatt is the WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week. McNatt, making his kicking debut for the Broncos, was 6-for-6 on PAT's and connected on his only field goal attempt.

Mesa's Jimmy Bevell is the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week. Bevell helped the Thunderbirds to a 56-31 road win over NMMI by throwing for 270 yards and five touchdowns. He added a sixth score by running for a TD.

Stanley Gaskin of Mesa is the WSFL Defensive Player of the Week. Gaskin had five tackles and broke up a pair of passes. He also posted three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown.

Terrance Anthony of Mesa is the WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week. Anthony returned three kickoffs for a total of 101 yards.

Terry Cotton of Arizona Western is the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week. Cotton rushed for a game-high 181 yards on 22 carries, including five straight carries of 20 yards 
or more, as the Matadors defeated New Mexico Military 26-16.

Joey Schrader is the WSFL Defensive Player of the Week. Schrader was literally all over the field in Snow's 30-23 win at Eastern Arizona. He had 12 solo tackles while assisting on six others. Schrader also broke up a pass for the Badger's defense.

Snow's Chris Van Orden is the WSFL's Special Teams Player of the Week. Van Orden averaged 43 yards on five punts, three of which were inside the 20.

Mesa's Ronald Young is the WSFL Offensive Player of the Week. Young 
ran for 112 yards and three touchdowns as the Mesa Thunderbirds defeated 
Scottsdale 52-35.

Arizona Western's Zach Holmes is the WSFL Defensive Player of the Week. 
Holmes led the Matador defense with nine solo and two assistsed tackles, three of which were for losses, as Arizona Western shut out Pima 39-0.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
(November 9, 2008)

Phoenix College's Treg Jeffrey is the WSFL Special Teams Player of the Week. 
Jeffrey nailed four field goals, including a 52 yarder, in the Bears' 19-12 loss to Snow College.
