MEN'S SOCCER STAYS IN THE PLAYOFF HUNT WITH 2-1 VICTORY OVER CHANDLER-GILBERT

The Pumas returned to the win column on Tuesday when they defeated the Chandler-Gilbert Coyotes 2-1.  The Pumas scored both goals in the first half to earn the victory.

The Pumas struck first with a goal by Sophomore Nico White in the 13th minute of the game, his team-leading fourth goal of the season. The Pumas added to their lead in the 28th minute with a goal by Fadlor Little, his first of the season. The Coyotes cut the lead in half when they scored on a penalty kick in the 90th minute.

The Pumas improved to 5-5-2  on the season. Sophomore Goalkeeper Preston Parsons earned his fifth victory in goal.

The Pumas return to action next Tuesday, October 15, when they face #18 Glendale Community College at home at 1:00. The Pumas and the Pauchos played to a 2-2 tie earlier in the year.
