Baseball Splits with Arizona Western

Saturday, April 13th saw Eastern Arizona College face off against Arizona Western in a doubleheader.

In Game 1, Eastern Arizona College secured a solid 8-5 victory. Aaron Gutierrez delivered a commendable pitching performance, while Miles Vandenheuvel and Tripp Schroeder contributed two crucial home runs to secure the win.

However, Game 2 didn't go as planned, resulting in a 14-2 loss for Eastern Arizona College. Early struggles with finding the strike zone, marked by six walks and two hit-by-pitches in just six innings, put the team at a disadvantage from the start, as noted by Coach Kimball.

Despite the setback in Game 2, Eastern Arizona College demonstrated their potential in Game 1, highlighting their ability to perform well under pressure and capitalize on key opportunities.

The Monsters return to the mound on Tuesday, April 16th to host South Mountain, first pitch at noon. Go Monsters!
