The Coyotes managed a consolation goal late in the second half. Preston Parsons secured the result for the Pumas with three saves in goal.

"We made some corrections from the mistakes in our last two games," said Coach DeVries. "It feels good to get back on track, and we're looking forward to the challenge of facing another ranked team next week."

The Pumas will now prepare for a challenging road game on Tuesday, September 10, when they travel to Glendale to face the #18-ranked Gauchos. Kickoff is set for 5:30pm.
