Men's Tennis falls in close match to Ottawa on Saturday

Mesa Men's Tennis fell to Ottawa University on Saturday, 5-4.

The T-Birds came up short against NAIA Ottawa as they looked to rebound from their last defeat against ACCAC rival Paradise Valley.

MCC had their opportunities to capitalize on a short handed Firestorm club but in the end they were not able to pull out the victory. Carson Abril picked up his second victory over Ottawa this season in singles action which was Mesa's only singles victory against an opponent.

"I think we could have put more pressure on them in doubles to secure that point. But I am very proud of how we handle singles against some really good players. We will look to carry some momentum from this close match as we go on the road against a tough GCC team on Tuesday," said head coach Feroz Rast.

The T-Birds have a busy week as they compete against Glendale on Tuesday and ASU Club on Saturday.
