YUMA, Ariz. – The Arizona Western Matadors Men's Basketball team (4-0) continued its unbeaten start to the season with a 100-66 win over Arizona Christian University JV on Tuesday night at the House Gymnasium.
AJ Marmolejos scored a season-high 29 points with 19 coming in the first half to help the Matadors win their fourth consecutive game.
The Matadors used a big first half to pull away in the win, outscoring Arizona Christian 60-30 in the first 20 minutes and had 12 first-half points from Matija Gledic who finished with 13 points in the win.
Joao Das Chagas had a big second half, scoring nine of his 11 total points in the second half to guide the Matadors to a second half in which they outscored Arizona Christian 40-36.
The Matadors are back in action on Friday, November 17, taking on Western Wyoming at 6:00 pm in Las Vegas, Nev.
