Phoenix, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds men's soccer team held a 2-1 advantage at halftime while facing Phoenix College Tuesday night but couldn't maintain the lead throughout the second half as the T-Birds fell 3-2.

Danny Baca and Brian Oliveras scored Mesa's two goals in the first half, Baca's at the 11 minute mark with Olivares goal coming right before half in the 43rd minute.  

But two Bear second half goals sank the T-Birds, pushing their record to 2-1-1 on the season.  Mesa will be back in play this coming Thursday at home against Yavapai College, beginning at 4:30 pm.
