Women's Soccer faced a tough match yesterday against Glendale Community College, ending in a 2-0 defeat at home. Despite a strong effort and determination on the field, the Pumas could not break through Gauchos' defense.

The match saw GCC take control early, scoring their first goal right before the water break in the first half. The Pumas responded with several promising attacks, but Glendales defense held firm. As the teams entered the second half, the Pumas looked for an equalizer, but the Gauchos extended their lead with a second goal, effectively sealing the match.

The Pumas showcased moments of solid teamwork and defensive resilience, with notable improved team performance compared to the game earlier in the season when the Gauchos won 8-0. Head coach Guillermo Uriarte emphasized the team's perseverance, "Our players fought hard throughout the game, and while the result didn't go our way, we continue to see improvement in each game."

The Pumas will look to regroup as they prepare for their next match. They travel to Scottsdale on Saturday, October 19. Kickoff is set for 8:00pm.
