Trojans Fall at Home to Eastern Arizona, 3-1

TRINIDAD, Colo. – The Trinidad State College men's soccer team dropped its opening match of the season, falling 1-3 to Eastern Arizona on Wednesday afternoon at Central Park in Trinidad.

TSC found its lone goal of the match in the 55-th minute from Luis Pacheco (So., Edwards, Colo.) to help avoid the shutout.

In the match, the Trojans were sparked by three shots off the foot of Lucas Vandji (Fr., Romaneche, France) and teammates Martin Kantorowics (Fr., Paris, France) and Pacheco added two shots.

Eastern Arizona walked into halftime with a commanding 2-0 lead before finishing off the win with the final goal in the 75th minute.

Keeper Bryan Amezcua (So., Lakewood, Colo.) finished with 7 saves for the Trojans in all 90 minutes of play.

Trinidad State will be back in action this coming weekend at the Barton Classic hosted by Barton. The Trojans will face-off against Jefferson at 10 am on Saturday followed by No. 5 Barton at 9 am on Sunday.
