WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

DI: Rita Gomes – Arizona Western – Gomes averaged 17 points in two Matadors’ wins last weekend, hitting nine three-pointers. The sophomore scored 19 points and made four threes while recording five steals in an 84-60 win over No. 12 ranked Odessa before scoring 15 points in 13 minutes, connecting on five three-pointers, in a win over Jessup University JV.

DII: Melicia Nelson - Pima – Nelson scored 16 points and hauled in 11 rebounds to record a double-double in the Aztecs’ 76-58 win over Central Arizona on Tuesday, shooting 57.1 percent from the field in the win.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

CO-DI: Ben Henderson - Cochise – Henderson scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds in the Apaches’ 71-57 win over Howard on Wednesday. Henderson went 6-for-12 from the field and dished out four assists.

CO-DI: Jackson Tumbridge - Cochise – Tumbridge scored 18 points and drilled five three-pointers to help Cochise to a 71-57 win over Howard the day before Thanksgiving while also tallying five assists in the win.

DII: Will Coates – Chandler-Gilbert – Coates led the Coyotes to a 118-52 win over Park University JV, scoring 22 points in 18 minutes, shooting 8-for-10 from the field in the win while grabbing three rebounds.
