MEN’S SOCCER

#5 Arizona Western – The Matadors moved up one spot in the latest poll after winning a pair of games last week. The Matadors came from behind to beat Southern Nevada 6-4 and then picked up a 2-0 shutout win on the road at Mohave on Saturday.

#2 Phoenix – The Bears remained at No. 2 in the latest rankings, winning their lone game last week in convincing fashion, beating Mohave 6-1 in a non-conference game on Tuesday in Bullhead City.

#4 Pima – Pima stayed at No. 4 with two wins last week. The Aztecs scored 16 goals and conceded none, beating Scottsdale 7-0 and Southern Nevada 8-0 in the span of three days last week.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

#5 Arizona Western – The Matadors stayed at No. 5, beating College of Southern Nevada 6-0 at home before heading out on the road to stay undefeated with a 5-0 win at Mohave on Saturday evening.

#16 Cochise – The Apaches moved down a spot to No. 16 in the latest rankings after settling for a 1-1 draw with Yavapai before beating Southern Nevada 3-1 on the road on Saturday.

#20 Eastern Arizona – The Gila Monsters stayed at No. 20, beating Community Christian 12-0 on Tuesday in Redlands, California before playing to a goalless draw with Yavapai on Saturday in Prescott.

#3 Phoenix – The Bears moved up one spot to No. 3 thanks to a big win over ACCAC DI foe Mohave 2-0 on Tuesday.

#9 Scottsdale – The Fighting Artichokes jumped three spots to No. 9 in the newest poll. The Fighting Artichokes pushed its winning streak to six games with a 2-1 win over nationally ranked Pima last week.

#11 Pima – The Aztecs moved down a spot to No. 11 in the newest rankings after falling to Scottsdale 2-1 in their lone game last week.

RV Arizona Western – The Matadors received votes in this week’s poll after sweeping a weekend over Yavapai, coming back from losing the first set twice in two straight 3-1 wins over the Roughriders.

RV Eastern Arizona – The Gila Monsters dropped into the receiving votes category after a week in which they split back-to-back matches with Central Arizona, losing 3-0 on Friday before bouncing back for a 3-1 win on Saturday.

#9 Scottsdale – The Fighting Artichokes moved up to No. 9 winning its lone match on Friday, 3-1 over South Mountain on Friday.

#20 Glendale – The Gauchos moved up to No. 20, winning two matches in straight sets last week, beating Mesa and Chandler-Gilbert 3-0.

#22 Mesa – The Thunderbirds fell two spots after losing to Glendale 3-1 on Wednesday before beating Phoenix 3-0 on Saturday.
