Full slate Wednesday as ACCAC men's basketball returns

  The ACCAC men's basketball season will resume Wednesday after a busy holiday break.

When play kicks off again, Cochise (16-1, 7-0) will be the leader of the pack with Arizona Western (12-3, 5-1) and Central Arizona (10-5, 4-2) the closest challengers.

  Cochise won three games at the Pima Holiday Tournament. The Apaches topped Eastern Wyoming, 105-73, Southern Nevada, 82-65, and Dawson, 89-63, to sweep the event. In the EWCC game Stephen Byard (19-17) and Oscar Cluff (17-12) led way with with double-doubles. Against CSN it was Jalun Trent with 17 points as the top scorer. Facing Dawson, Jay Rodgers came off the bench with 22 points.

  AZW took the entire break off and will open play in the ACCAC  at Phoenix Wednesday.

  CAC played the same three teams as Cochise at the Pima Holiday Tournament, but lost to all three teams. The Vaqueros fell to Dawson, 85-68, with John White, Jr., scoring 20, lost to Eastern Wyoming, 87-62 as White popped in 20 more, and dropped an 80-74 decision to Southern Nevada with Brenton Woods leading with 23 points.
