The Cougars managed to tie the game in the third inning, but it was in the sixth inning when they took the lead with a two-out RBI single followed by an RBI double and another RBI single, giving them a 4-1 advantage.

However, in the top of the seventh inning, the Bears rallied as they capitalized on their opportunities, with Cheyenne Ben, Mackenzie Phillips, Katie Hofmann, Danitza Hernandez, Riley Martens, Bridget Moen, Izzy Davis, and Kassidy Juarez all contributing to the offensive attack.

Alyssa Tinnin played a pivotal role on the mound, pitching the entire game and earning the win with nine hits, four runs (all earned), four walks, and two strikeouts.
